Catching up.... Again.

Ugh. I'm forever behind on blogging.

But I'm here now! Mostly just posting these so my family can see some of these cute pictures because I don't think anybody else in the world remembers a Welty blog exists ;)

We'll start with a family reunion in Utah that kicked off in beautiful park city!!

Look at that stoic face!

Aubrey and Scotty
 Brian and Scott

Okay, although it may appear that mom is having WAY more fun than Jackson, I assure you Jackson was yelling "Alright!' and "Go!" and "So fast!" the entire time, he loved it!

Don't you just love nieces and nephews??

So then we moved to Arizona! When my dad came to visit to help us move and bring us all our stuff that we left in CA we went to the Tonto Natural Bridge. Notice how there is green and we weren't all drenched in sweat. And that's why we went there :)

 Handsome guys sporting ASU colors!

Craig and Brian try and match whenever possible

Tallen is not the kind of kid to want to be confined for long.

Jackson looks miserable but I think my husband just looks so darn cute in this picture <3 br="br">

 Oh my.
Please ignore my super dorky outfit.

{Some News}

Yup! This is happening! We are having another baby! I am 10 1/2 weeks along and feeling great! Here are the pictures from our 10 week ultrasound. It was so cool because when we had Jackson our ultrasound was at 7 weeks which means that he was basically just a big blur on the screen. We were shocked when he brought this up and we could see a baby.

Can you see in this first picture how clear the head (right), stomach (middle), arms (between head and stomach), and legs (left) are!?

This one's not as good, this was just when he was measuring the length. Our baby was about 3 centimeters (a little over an inch) long.

The picture below is a detailed picture of the head. The head is the oval on the right (not the blur on the left) and you can barely make out the eyes, nose and mouth. I think he/she looks like me. ;)

Now for the exciting news!!

As if finding out that our baby was perfectly healthy wasn't enough, as we were staring at our beautiful new baby, Brian and I both noticed something lurking around between the legs. The doctor then said, "Are you planning on finding out the sex of the baby?" Yes! "Because I think you have another little boy in there."

What!? We didn't even know the external genitals had even developed yet!! But the tail our baby used to have is gone so it wouldn't be that and it wasn't the umbilical cord so it looks like there's a good chance we have another little boy on the way!!!

And as my older brother Scotty oh so lovingly said,

"Its a boy. Its always a boy."

True.

So if you look at the above picture you'll see the head on the right and the legs on the left. And right there in the middle of the legs is a little arrow pointing to a little mysterious something.

And if we needed more proof, the picture below is a picture of the bum looking up at it. The little arrow is pointing at what we think might be "the rocket" as we like to call it.

I put this picture up again (below) with some arrows showing what everything is in case you still can't see it.

So that's our good news! I'm starting to feel better now, my morning sickness started MUCH earlier this time around. I was about 4 1/2 weeks when I first had to lean away from Brian's seafood plate because it was making me sick and its been pretty full force up until about this week. I haven't thrown up yet, but feeling nautious isn't fun whether you're throwing up or not :( So needless to say we've been eating a lot of fast food because mom can't cook.

When I got my blood tested at 5 1/2 weeks my HCG hormone number was 14,172. If that means nothing to you, the average at that gestational period is about 2,000. I think that explains all the  early symptoms...

We are due January 31st, 2013 (4 days after Brian's birthday) and couldn't be happier!!!

Easter Weekend

My mom's birthday was April 6th, so my dad took us out to Chili's for dinner, then to Michael's to pick up some flowers, then to the cemetery to pay respect to my mom. I hate to say it but we don't go to the cemetery all that much, we just honestly don't put much stock into it because there's really not much there to remember her by. My sister Michelle always says that its basically just like a big park for her kids and they love to run up and down the hill, and thats basically what it was to Jackson also! It was nice to go there though, even if Jackson didn't fully understand why we were there.

My grandma is buried just above my mom

We even saw some wild turkeys!

Easter Sunday we went to the Welty's house, where its just Robert while Brian's mom is in Washington while Lynn has her baby. We invited my dad over and we made homemade pizzas, and I made cream cheese monkey bread, and we had an Easter egg hunt!

It actually turned out a lot better than I had expected! Most holidays he doesn't even know whats going on, this was the first time that he was really participating in and was really enjoying himself! He found all the Easter eggs and put them into his basket, and we even had to throw most of them across the lawn so he could find them again! But its not surprising, Jackson loves anything that resembles a ball.

Happy Easter!!!
